What a listing shows

Read a French provider listing. Lesson 1, 10 min.

A listing on French4PR describes one French provider. It shows what the provider says on its own public page. An editor read that page and recorded the date.

A listing is a record. It is not a recommendation. It does not mean that any agency endorses the provider. French4PR is a directory. It is not an immigration consultant, not a law firm and not affiliated with any government.

The three provider types

  • Official test centre: hosts exam sessions.
  • French school or course: teaches the language, often in a classroom.
  • Online tutor or prep course: works remotely.

Each listing shows one type. Check it first. A school can prepare you for a test without hosting the test. A test centre may not offer courses.

The other fields

  • Tests offered: the tests the provider's own page names.
  • Formats: in person, online or both.
  • Languages of instruction: the languages the provider states.
  • Levels taught: the CEFR levels the provider states, from A1 to C2.
  • Exam preparation: yes only when the provider says it prepares candidates for a named test.
  • Exam fee: a figure only when the provider publishes one and an editor cited it.

Your next step

Open one listing. Name its provider type. Write down what each field says. Lesson 2 explains what an empty field means.
